Christmas 2008

I took my camera to Grandma's Christmas Eve to get a few family shots so Grandma could have some good family memories to keep with her. It's always a unique experience to photograph family. . . YOUR family. . . but it's priceless to be able to capture everyone on film (Well. . . CF drive, really). We have couples, parents, kids, and of course the whole group! Merry Christmas Schaffer family!!

Shannon and Dan

This Christmas, Shannan and Dan wanted some professional pictures to give as gifts to their parents. So we met up at the White River Gardens for a quick shoot and left with some really great photographs! I think their family will love them. They were so great together and so much fun. . . I love Christmas!!!

Gregory Family Christmas!

On Thanksgiving I rounded up our 2 dogs, 1 rabbit and husband for our family Christmas picture. Let me tell you, they weren't as cooperative as they look!!! We tried to snuggle together, but the dogs just wouldn't have it. So Kitty came to take the picture later and with some help of the magic of Photoshop, we got it all together! Cierra, our new adopted tri-pawed, was very proud of her first family photograph! Enjoy one and all. . .

Baby Nathan Arrives!

On November 19th Jennifer gave birth [drug free, may I add] to a beautiful baby boy, Nathan Louis Ehlers. He is absolutely adorable! So far, Nathan has proved himself to be much more patient and tolerant than his older brother who, by the way, loves him to pieces! Here are a few pictures from the hospital and some more from later at home that I took to capture the moment.

Ashley and Josh's Wedding

This past Saturday I shot at Ashley and Josh's wedding on the south side of Indianapolis. They had a perfectly coordinated wedding - every detail was thought out, it was amazing. The wedding party was so much fun to be around, this couple is so lucky to have such a great group of friends as a support system! The guest list was big, so the reception lasted long into the night, and EVERYONE had a blast!

Stacey and Mark

I ran downtown for a quick 15 min shoot so Stacey and Mark would have some good engagement pictures to announce their engagement in the local newspapers. The weather was blisery and cold, so we snuck into the Arts Garden so we could still get some pictures with the buildings. Those two clean up good!

Dawn and Ben's Wedding

Dawn and Ben were married at Castleton United Methodist Church on a beautiful day, the day after Halloween! I was there all morning while the girls got ready - the little flower girl was such a cutie! Ben is truly a wonderful groom and has so much love for his new bride, they were beautiful to see together. Here are some of my favorite shots!

Ehtan, Ali, and Scott

We went to Stoney Creek Farm in Noblesville, IN to take some portraits of adorable, independent, goofy little Ethan for his 1 1/2 year pictures, and also made sure to get some of Scott and Ali in there as well. We went to the pumpkin patch, played in some leaves, climbed a hay stack, went to the play ground and made sure to also check out the historic buildings before we left. That kind of stuff never gets old. . . and Ethan had so much fun!

October 17th at the Omni

On a beautiful Friday afternoon, Cassy and Drew held their wedding ceremony and reception downtown at the Omni Severin. Everything was like watching a movie - so beautiful, so classic, so coordinated, and so so elegant. Really a sight to behold. Every detail was memorable, I couldn't stop shooting!! They had a bridal party of 20, not including the flower girls - it was amazing. It truely was such an honor to be a part of such a wonderful day.

Rathskellar Wedding

On October 4th Melinda and Jon were married at the Rathskellar in the historic Anthaneum building downtown. I held my wedding reception there nearly 3 years ago, so it was great to be back and reminice. Ahh, the good ol' days. :) Their friends and family were so down to earth. . . what a fun group of people! And Melinda was up for ANYTHING - we had so much fun getting all kinds of fun shots. They even let us get up on stage in their beer garden. Definately a night to remember.

Bridal Show

I attended my first bridal show this Sunday at the Scottish Rite Cathedral in downtown Indianapolis. What an experience! There were some great vendors there and I met some very nice contacts -- an of course, lots of beautiful brides! I'm looking forward to my next show already!

September 12th and 13th

Heather and Brandon's were married on Friday the 12th and the weather somehow managed to hold up. It rained all morning, then seemed to stop just in time to start formals outside at the gazebo at Valle Vista, and last all through the day. Brandon had 3 beautiful children and you could see how much love their family had. The reception was so much fun -- and so many children there! We evening ended the evening with a fun game of limbo!

The following day I shot for Shea and Cortney; college sweethearts who I knew from my days at Ball State University. Although it was very hot, very humid, and very windy, it was magical none-the-less. There ceremony and reception were both held on the canal downtown behind an old historic chapel off of Delaware Street. I can't decide which I liked the best; the pink parasols or the ring bearer and flower girl played by two very adorable puppies!

Lauren and James's Wedding

On September 6th I ventured up to Sheridan, IN for a beautiful wedding in a rather small town. Everyone was so friendly and sweet - lots of small town hospitality! They had a beautiful ceremony followed with a great reception at the Palimino in Zionsville. We were able to sneak outside as the sun was setting and get some amazing photographs. Thanks James and Lauren for letting me be a part of your special day!

Mia Rosales 2 weeks

Coming about 6 weeks early, Mia Rosales showed up for her first portrait session ready and rearing to go! She was such a calm baby and already totally into getting her picture taken. Quite the first born. As most babies are, she is beautiful and was a joy to capture in all of her glorious 5 lbs!
