Jessica and Nate's Engagement

When I first met Jessica and found out that her and Nate were engaged during a marathon date to the zoo, I was stoked. THIS is my kinda couple! I was even more stoked when she said she would love to have her engagement pictures taken there. **Cha-Ching!!** I lucked out big time.

My last zoo engagement session was in spring of 2008, and we mostly spent our time in the White River Gardens and Hilbert Conservatory. Since the butterflies were still making their way into their new home there, we instead spent our entire session on zoo grounds, which turned out to be much more fun anyways! Between the oceans building, the grounds, dolphin, and deserts. . . it was a blast. Plus I got to bring along my two favorite girls for a fun afternoon at the zoo AND got to see my zoo buds. Ohhhhh how I miss them!!

Thank you Jessica and Nate for being so much fun to shoot! You were great, and I can't wait for your big day. It's going to be amazing!!

Babies, Babies, Babies!!

Who doesn't love babies?! It seems like there has been a recent baby-bust, and I LOVE it!! I've gotten behind on blogging them all, but here are my most recent three:

Sawyer Lyn Call - 3 months

Has it really already been three months? Sawyer is such a beautiful baby. She has the bluest eyes you've ever seen, and is the only baby I know whose hair is high-lighted!! She was born a brunette, and the new growth is blonde. It's the craziest (and prettiest) thing I've seen!

I had so many shots I wanted to get this session and this little guy was so patient through it all!! He is so adorable, it was hard to only pick a few!

Lynch Babies:

Okay, so they may not be human, but they are definitely Laura's babies!! When she asked me to come over and shoot a portrait of her and her 8 dogs, I wasn't sure how it would go. They were amazing! I've had a harder time with ONE dog, let alone 8! They definitely know who is the boss, and it's not surprising since Laura is a professional animal trainer (and my former co-worker at the zoo!)

The whole gang; Baloo, Bentley, Princess, Nala, Kiara, Wazowski, Brenna, and Granger. Oh yeah -- and Laura!!

And of course, baby Lucas, who was also a champ for pictures. Thank you for being so patient little man!! You are adorable!!

Maternity Portraits - Jill and Brandy

The wedding season may be over but moms-to-be are in full swing! In October of '09 I shot Hannah and Ryan's wedding, in which these two lovely ladies were the bridesmaids. Now -- they're becoming mothers! I am so excited and so blessed to get to capture the maternity through first year of their baby's lives. This year is going to fly by, I can't wait to show it all on film!

McKenzie and Brandon's Engagement

It definated taks a very special kind of couple to do engagement pictures. In the middle of winter. With 1/2 ft. of snow on the ground. McKenzie and Brandon couldn't have been a better couple to totally pull it off, and pull it off with a darn good amount of class! I LOVED shooting their engagements and I can hardly wait for their wedding. THIS is my kinda couple.

This is b.e.a.u.t.i.f.u.l!! I wish I could've had Lee there taking the picture of me taking the picture. It's not easy throwing snow in the air (as HIGH as you can!) and capturing something like this at the same time! *Thank you, M & B*

Ehlers Family

I love fall portraits!! This Wednesday we headed out to the Indianapolis Museum of Art for some family pictures of the Ehlers family and it was so beautiful. We got some great shots; it helps when you have two very giggly little boys. (Who find the mention of farts to be beyond funny). :)
